Consultations

Onsite visits to attend meetings or provide consultations may incur a travel charge plus an hourly fee at my discretion.  All terms will be negotiated in writing in advance.

Phone calls lasting longer than 10 minutes will be billed at $1 per minute (including the first 10). This is to encourage more written communications because they're more efficient. Email gives both of us an electronic paper trail so we don't have to rely on leaky memories to remember what was said, when, and by whom.

I may also bill for my time to write "tutorial" emails if you request search marketing advice tailored for your Web project.

The meter also is left running at the end of a project when I write an extensive summary of work done and instructions so you don't unknowingly do something in the future to undo the work you paid for.

Payments

A downpayment of 50% or $150, whichever is more, is required before starting a project, with the rest due upon completion or as otherwise agreed.

Invoices are sent on or after the last day of each month and come due around the 7th business day of the following month. However, a new account that exceeds $500 before the end of the month may be billed early at my discretion, especially if billable hours are expected to accrue working on your project.

As a small business, please understand I cannot extend credit until we have worked together for a while, usually at least a few months.
